As Friendship House (FH) continues to prepare special needs boys and girls for the challenges they face in a rapidly changing, information-oriented society, we are seeking estimates on the products and services listed within this document.
The vision of our technology plan is that every student enrolled in Friendship House will have opportunities to master a wide range of information technologies gained from their school experiences in grades K-10.
We expect that all proposals will provide the best and lowest price solution that meets all specifications. Please provide pricing detail as price carries the heaviest weight of all evaluation criteria.
We look forward to partnering with you as Friendship House continues to build upon its technology vision of providing an integrated, interdisciplinary, globally connected environment for learning through state-of-the-art technologies and services that will revolutionize the creative learning process for students and staff.
The following is a list for vendor consideration of the eligible e-rate services Friendship House is seeking. Interested parties must submit bids and inquiries via e-mail to Lori LaTorre at Lori LaTorre
Telecommunications Services
- Quotes are needed for maintenance of existing Avaya Definity PBX’s at Administration and School buildings. The maintenance quote is to include all E-rate eligible items connected to the system. We will also need maintenance pricing for our Avaya Intuity 5.1. Detailed information on the current system is available upon request.
- A quote for cellular service with “direct connect” feature for 20 users.
- Pricing for local and long distance services and a “point to point” T1 connection between the Administration and School buildings.
Internet Access
- The pricing requirements for continued Internet access include a T1 line with Internet access for Administration and School buildings.
Internal Connections
- Quotes are needed for the upgrade and/or replacement of two existing servers and multiple battery backups. Installation and basic maintenance also needed. Please contact us for additional specifications.
- Quotes are also needed for digital circuit cards for existing Avaya PBX. Installation also needed.
For all of the aforementioned E-rate eligible services:
Multi-year contracts and contracts with voluntary extensions will be considered.
Bids will be accepted until January 30, 2008.
Contract awards are contingent upon the approval of funding from the Schools and Libraries Universal Service Program.
Please provide the following information for all proposed services:
- Length of time business has provided this type of service.
- 3 reference sites using your service 3 years or more.
- Trouble reporting and escalation procedures.
- Hours of operation for help or trouble reporting.
- Describe maintenance and trouble notification procedures.
- Your E-Rate Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) on your proposal.
- An implementation timeline proposal with all service fully implemented starting July 1, 2008.
